The Museum is open from 9 AM to 5 PM daily with 45 minute guided tours offered throughout the day.
Most visitors spend an hour in addition to the 45 minute underground tour to view the Museum in its entirety -- view exhibits, pan for gold, see the film and explore the site. You may want to allow 1 to 2 hours for your visit, although many people stay for 4 or more hours.

The first tour is at 10:00am and the last tour is at 4:00pm.
Tours are offered every 30 minutes between 11:00am and 3:00pm.
>> Monday through Friday:
Tours are offered at 11 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM and 4 PM.
Last tour is at 4 PM.
*If you are aiming for a specific tour time, please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time e.g., for the 4 PM tour arrive by at least 3:45 PM to purchase a ticket and get to the train pavilion for a 4 PM departure.
