Celebrate Canada Day at Britannia Mine Museum

Wednesday, July 1, 2026

Celebrate Canada Day at Britannia Mine Museum with live music, family-friendly activities, and hands-on fun around historic Mill No. 3.

This year’s celebration features live performances by Riverbank Roses, a Sea to Sky duo known for blending folk, soul, pop, and vintage-inspired sounds. Their music draws inspiration from classic storytelling and west coast living, creating the perfect soundtrack for a relaxed summer afternoon at the museum.

Performance Times:

  • First set: 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
  • Second set: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
  • Third set: 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm

Visitors can also enjoy classic lawn games and activities including Cornhole, Drill Bit Ring Toss, Bottle Ring Toss, bubble stations, and more throughout the day.

Canada Day celebrations have long been part of Britannia’s community history, bringing residents and families together around Mill No. 3 and the museum grounds. Today, the tradition continues by welcoming visitors to gather, explore, and experience the stories of Britannia’s mining past in one of British Columbia’s most unique historic sites.

Guests are also invited to explore our newest summer exhibit, Giants at Work: Big Jobs, Bigger Machines, featuring the massive Cat® 793C Mining Truck, interactive experiences, and hands-on exploration focused on the scale and engineering of modern mining.

Included with Museum admission.
