The Britannia Mine Museum (BMM) is a self-supporting, non-profit society established in 1971 to preserve the material and social history of mining in British Columbia, and to educate the public about mining. To operate our unique, entertaining and memorable experiences for visitors, and to comply with the Mines Act (provincial law), there are policies in place which visitors should be aware of.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY – ASSUMPTION OF RISK

The visitor to the Britannia Mine Museum (BMM) assumes all risk of personal injury, death or property loss resulting from any cause whatsoever including but not limited to the risks, dangers or hazards from being on an historic industrial mining site, travel within or beyond the public site boundaries, negligence, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty of care on the part of the BMM. The BMM collectively refers to the BMM, the Britannia Mine Museum Society (BMS) and their employees, agents, independent contractors, subcontractors, representatives, successors, sponsors and assigns. The visitor agrees that any litigation involving BMM shall be solely within the Province of British Columbia and its courts and shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance to its laws
